The Controls Trainer role is based within Defence Training

 

The role

The difference our new Controls Trainer will make

 

As a Controls Trainer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be training electronic principles to young engineers to support the various platforms of the fleet.

 

Day to day, you’ll deliver technical and equipment training modules in Controls and Diagnostics modules to trainees in line with the DCTT EMTC Course Documentation and as directed by the Department Training Manager.

 

You will also be responsible for maintaining personal CPD portfolio in respect of new technologies and equipment, and new training delivery methodologies. 

 

You’ll ensure that lesson plans and training sessions are developed in accordance with the approved training.

Essential experience

•    If you don’t already hold a Level 4 Certificate, we will put you through this
•    You will need to hold a Level 3 Certificate in Electronics  
•    Ideally you will come from a background to be able to change components on a circuit background e.g., Ex - army or Navy or RAF 
•    You will need to be able to test components
•    You will need to be able to work collaboratively with colleagues and others within and outside the organisation
•    You should be able to demonstrate effective planning and teaching in the learning environment
•    You will need to satisfy security requirements. This may require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving ‘Security Check’ (SC) clearance.
