This is an exciting opportunity to join Babcock Mission Critical Services Onshore (BMCSO), a leading provider of mission-critical helicopter services to the Air Ambulance, Police and Offshore sectors. The role
As a Touring Pilot for you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. The Touring Pilot role offers varied and challenging flying across a range of disciplines including HEMS, Police and NVIS operations.


Day-to-day you’ll be required to: 

  • Be aware of the safety of the aircraft and passengers.
  • Respond to emergency situations.
  • Manage all required documentation.


This role is full time and based on site at RAF Cosford Airfield, near Shropshire. The successful candidate will be required to reside within 25 nautical miles or 45 minutes of the Airfield.


Essential experience of the Touring Pilot 
Either: 

  • 1000 hours pilot in command of aircraft of which 500 hours is pilot in command on twin turbine helicopters.

or

  • 1000 hours as co-pilot in HEMS/Police operations of which 500 hours is as pilot in command under supervision and 100 hours pilot in command of twin turbine helicopters.

As well as:

  • 2000 hours minimum total helicopter experience.
  • 500 hours operating experience in twin turbine helicopters in an operational environment similar to the intended operation.
  • 20 hours VFR at night as pilot in command.


Qualifications for the Touring Pilot 

  • Hold a UK ATPL(H) or CPL(H) + IR
  • Be qualified and instrument rated on the EC135 and EC145.


Security Clearance
