The role
As a Technical Installation Manager you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Mission Systems enable our customers to deliver their mission, through our products and solutions, using intelligence and analysis and delivering critical communication services. Our aim is to be at the centre of our customers' modern digital backbone by connecting and delivering sensors, decision support, and air effectors across military and business domains
 

Day to day, you’ll be responsible for the delivery of all transactional installation related Task Service activities.
You’ll also be responsible for:

  • Supporting with technical guidance from receipt of tasking into the Projects Team
  • To lead the installation team in delivery all transactional works
  • To lead the installation team in delivery all transactional works

Essential experience of the Technical Installation Manager

  • Time served electrical apprenticeship.
  • Working knowledge of electrical installations (Basic record of proven ability in related work).
  • Working knowledge of the Code of Practice for the In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (4th Edition).
  • IET 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations 
  • Must possess an adequate knowledge of and compliance with the Health and Safety policy and regulations consistent with their responsibilities as an Installation Team Leader.
  • Must possess or be willing to gain Health and Safety qualifications, commensurate with the role. 
  • Must possess (or be willing to gain) an adequate knowledge of Construction (Design and Management) 2015 regulations and be able to represent Babcock in the role of Principle Designer. 
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with resource managers, installation team members, clients, and superiors at all levels and in all areas of management.
  • Possess a full, UK Driving Licence

 

This is a permanent full-time position based at Ashchurch, Tewksbury - *Hybrid with working from home options. 
 

Qualifications for the Technical Installation Manager

  • City & Guilds parts 1 and 2 in Electrical Installations.
  • City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395 certificate of inspection and testing of electrical installations.
  • City & Guilds 2392 level 3 certificate of inspection and testing of electrical installations.
  • City & Guilds 2377-22 Portable Appliance Testing (PAT).
  • Working knowledge of the Code of Practice for the In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (4th Edition).
  • IET 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations 

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC and Enhanced DV security clearance for this role.
