• Deliver an excellent student experience in accordance with the programme requirements.
• Provide teaching, learning support and undertake observations to ensure students’ progress timely through their programme.
• To develop highly motivated students who proactively engage with learning and transfer knowledge, skills and behaviours to the workplace, and enable them to integrate theory with practice through reflection.
• Provide feedback and appropriate student support. 

This role is fixed term contract and is based at the Fire Service College, Moreton-in-Marsh.

Essential experience of the Breathing Apparatus Trainer:

• Strong interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Results focused with the ability to work under pressure.
• Comprehensive understanding of the fire service and the evidence base current context, challenges, and issues gained either through previous operational or training experience.
• Fire service experience (beneficial)
• Experience of supporting and driving the progression of students delivering apprenticeships or other work-based learning (desirable)

Qualifications for the Breathing Apparatus Trainer:

• Breathing Apparatus instructor or happy to work towards this qualification.
• Tactical ventilation / PPV instructor or happy to work towards this qualification.
• Level 2 qualification (or higher) in maths and English Excellent literacy, numeracy and communication skills 

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS)security clearance for this role.
