The Site Manager role is based within our Mission Systems business area.

The role
The difference our new Site Manager will make
As a Site Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) is a thriving and growing business unit within Mission System. We are transforming and we need you to support us in forging new paths, and contributing as we grow through exciting, but sometimes challenging change.
Day to day, you’ll be responsible for supervisory control of all Babcock and employed sub-contractor staff within their location ensuring Health and Safety compliance at all times, including statutory/mandatory compliance maintenance delivery utilising Babcock Safety Instructions (SI’s) and UK legislation. You’ll ensure all activities are planned and delivered in the most efficient manner and that your team adheres to appropriate engineering standards, as dictated by Babcock standards, Customer standards or professional bodies, ensuring best practice is employed in all activities. You’ll also work closely with the Proposals & Estimating team to deliver approved projects on time and within budget. You’ll contribute to the recruitment, induction and development of team members, including the maintenance of their mandatory health, safety and security training demonstrating a structured succession plan. You’ll create a team environment which responds to changes in customer requirements and contribute to the identification of knowledge and skills shortfalls within the team, and to plan to address the deficiencies, in order to provide a robust response to the service users.

Essential experience
- Previous proven record of managing a team of engineers within an SLA environment.
- Data network or electrical Installation experience desireable
- Mobile communications or military background desireable
- You must be able to achieve DV clearance
