The Role
As a Site Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering critical infrastructure projects that support national defence and security. This is a unique opportunity to lead site operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency while contributing to the UK's strategic capabilities. You’ll gain exposure to high-profile projects and develop your leadership skills in a dynamic and rewarding environment.
Day-to-day, you’ll provide service delivery for all assigned Engineering Services at the designated location, fulfilling contractual requirements whilst ensuring Babcock staff are fully trained and skilled to deliver.
- Ensure that appropriate engineering standards, as dictated by Babcock standards, Customer standards and / or professional bodies, are always adhered to.
- Responsible for the budget administration and onward reporting as to fiscal health of the services being provided for the designated location, reporting directly into the Technical Services Delivery Manager
- Actively engage with Babcock team leaders and Authority representatives to proactively address any issues or challenges which may arise.
- To represent Babcock interests in identifying transactional opportunities at the site and support the projects team in delivery of tasks through support and providing local knowledge.
- Deliver accurate estimates in support of the Small Task Provisioning Service (STPS) and be accountable for ensuring delivery to timescales and budget, being mindful of contractual margins and overhead recover.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with days onsite and days working from home.
Essential Experience of the Site Manager
- Demonstrate adequate team leadership and management skills.
- Evidence of initiating and implementing service enhancements and managing change.
- Possess an adequate knowledge of and compliance with the Health and Safety policy and regulations consistent with the responsibilities of the post.
- Must possess or be willing to gain a IOSH Managing Safely and where required NeBOSH.
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, SharePoint and Excel.

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role.
