The role

As a senior electrical engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Acting as the Subject Matter Expert, the Senior Electrical Engineer, is responsible as the Authorising Electrician for the Intelligence and Security business unit.

 

Day to day, you’ll deliver electrical engineering and design services for a portfolio of projects across multiple geographical locations.

 

  • To plan, control, deliver and hand-over tasks as required for the installation of electrical equipment at Customer sites within the UK or overseas.
  • Lead as the electrical authority, representing the Intelligence and Security (I&S) BU for all approvals, sign offs and briefings relating to the skillset.  
  • Provide assurance and undertake due diligence on I&S delivered solutions, services and installed capability
  • Sign off delivery of engineering work packages to agreed budget, timescales, requirements and quality objectives.

 

This role is a full-time permanent position based at our Ashchurch site 

 

Essential experience of the Senior Electrical Engineer

  • Must possess, or be able to obtain and retain EDV clearance.
  • Ability to report clearly on events both verbally and in written form, including good technical specification, feasibility and report writing skills, applicable to a broad audience at all levels of seniority, both internally and externally.

 

Qualifications for the Senior Electrical Engineer

  • Must hold a relevant engineering degree level, or alternatively HNC/HND qualification.

 

Please note that this position is subject to enhanced national security vetting. The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to satisfy Ministry of Defence security requirements (this will include obtaining SC and Developed Vetting (EDV) level of security clearances).
