The Role
As the Security Front Line Manager, you will support Babcock in forging new paths and contributing as we grow through exciting, but sometimes challenging change. As the leader of the physical security team, you will be managing a team to provide security cover across our estate.
The purpose of this role is to provide the first line physical security management capability for our operational organisation.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Providing occasional on call support and emergency security shift cover as required.
- Overseeing secure premises with patrolling; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment and access points.
- Compiling reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, surveillance activities, and audits of access control and guarding duties.
- Supporting the security team including Team meetings, 1-2-1s, Performance Development Reviews and training plans.
- Managing CCTV requests and GDPR compliance.
Please note that the successful candidate will be required to pass a targeted medical questionnaire and/or medical examination as a condition of employment for this role.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Ashchurch, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire.
Essential Experience of the Security Front Line Manager
- Strong knowledge of physical security practises including Extensive knowledge of access control systems & CCTV Systems
- Previous experience managing a large team of varying skillset and experience
- Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- SIA/CCTV/NPSA Extensive knowledge
- Competent PC user (All MS applications and SharePoint)

Qualifications for the Security Front Line Manager
- Relevant qualifications desirable i.e. BTEC Level 3 Security Management or SIA.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role.
