The Role
As an IT Support Technician, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. This role provides for variety in engineering challenges operating across a range of capabilities and skill sets. Providing for an improved Customer service offering across the technical engineering disciplines.

Day-to-day, you’ll be interacting with a small dedicated team, entirely focussed on support mission deliverables and specialising in the production small bespoke engineering solutions.

• First and Second line support for bespoke / niche systems
• System commissioning (Electrical, Electronic, Data, Fibre, Radio Frequency)
• Customer technical liaison, advice, and guidance
• Monitoring of compliance
• Documentation – User Requirement Documents, Tech Author, Requirements capture
• Product development and enhancement

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Ashchurch.

Essential experience of the IT Support Technician

• Linux administration and Virtualisation management (VMWare)
• Networking
• Radio Frequency Fundamentals
• Good technical reporting skills both written and verbal 
• Electronics engineering with ability to undertake reverse engineering tasks

Qualifications for the IT Support Technician

• Higher National Certificates / D in Electrical / Electronic Engineering
• Radio Frequency Fundamentals
• Data and Fibre comms principals
• City & Guilds communications cabling and networks

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role.
