The role
As an Engineering Safety and Compliance Officer, you'll have a front-row seat to the dynamic world of aviation. Day-to-day, you'll be working alongside a dedicated team committed to excellence in aviation. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring the safety and operational excellence of our aviation operations at Staverton. Your responsibilities will include:
- Proactive Compliance: Coordinate responses to safety, quality, and compliance issues identified through audits and occurrence reports.
- Safe Working Environment: Foster a culture of safety and compliance by supporting the maintenance of a safe, efficient, and regulatory-compliant workplace.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive ongoing improvements in safety, quality, and compliance by developing and implementing effective policies, procedures, and practices.
- Human Factors Awareness: Implement safety policies and consider human factors to prevent errors and enhance operational performance.
- Training and Development: Contribute to the development and delivery of training programs to ensure that all staff have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their roles safely and effectively.
This full-time position is based at Staverton (Gloucestershire Airport). (Gloucestershire Airport). With hybrid flexibility on agreement, 4 days on site 1 from home.
Essential experience of the Engineering Safety and Compliance Officer
- A deep working understanding of aircraft engineering principles, maintenance practices, and safety regulations.
- Has working experience of the following Part-145, Part-CAMO and Part-66 regulations is essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with various stakeholders, including engineers, technicians, management, and regulatory authorities.
- The ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve safety and compliance objectives.
Qualifications for the Engineering Safety and Compliance Officer
- Foundation Degree in Aerospace Engineering.
- Aerospace Apprenticeship with industry working experience, ideally holding a Part-66 AML.
Security Clearance
- The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain BPSS Clearance.
