The role
As a Senior Track Welder, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Working closely with the Track Welding Supervisor you will ensure all welding duties on the track are carried out safely and in accordance to the line specifications and group standards.
 

Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:

  • Responsible for carrying out Thermit welds as required.
  • The Inspection of Thermit Welds as required.
  • Carry out MMA weld repairs as directed.


This role is full time and based onsite at Cadder Yard. This role will be 140 hours over 4 weeks that will include nights and weekends as required.


Essential experience of the Senior Track Welder:

  • Sound knowledge of Aluminothermic and Manual Arc welding procedures 
  • In depth knowledge of Permanent Way component parts.
  • Knowledge of Rules and Regulations, Safety Procedures, HASAW and other appropriate statutory regulations.
  • Proven experience in Permanent Way work


Qualifications for the Senior Track Welder:

  • PTS, COSS,
  • Successful completion of Track Welders course
