Babcock International Group, the aerospace and defence company, has been trusted to deliver bespoke, highly skilled engineering services for over a century.


In Spain, we manage air emergency medical services (EMS), air search and rescue (SAR) and air firefighting operations. We operate from 90 bases across the country and provide a complete service for our regional government customers, including our highly experienced air medical personnel, pilots and aeronautical engineers.


About the role


We are currently inviting applications from qualified AW139 SAR CO-PILOT.  The opportunity is for an AW139 SAR Co-Pilot to fill a permanent vacancy.


Babcock' has long been a pioneer in establishing SAR projects. Due to their hard to reach locations (often at sea or in mountainous regions) SAR operations are, by their nature, logistically complex and time-sensitive therefore the combination of our experienced and skilled rescue staff, along with the operational capabilities of our aircraft, ensures Babcock can respond safely and effectively to these emergency situations.


About You


The successful candidate must satisfy the following contract minimum qualifications and experience:

  • ATPL (H) license or approved ATPL (H) theorical knowledge.
  • AW139/IR/MP qualification in force.
  • 500 hours PIC/PICUS.
  • 100 hours in IFR conditions, at least 30 of them in the last 10 months.
  • 50 hours of VFR Night experience.
  • Language profiency level 4 or higher in Spanish
  • Language profiency level 4 or higher in English.
  • Class 1 medical examination in force.

In addition, compliance with the following requirements will be assessed:

  • MCC course.
  • Demostrable SEA SAR experience.

Please note, to comply with current public health orders it is a requirement that you are fully vaccinated for COVID-19 to be appointed to this role.
