About the Role

As we enter a period of significant organisational growth, we are seeking a Network Operations Manager to ensure the successful delivery of our new Enhanced Defence High Frequency Communication program. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating all operational resources in response to the customer’s communication requirements and challenges.
  • Maintain HF frequency pool and ensure the accurate production of Frequency Calling Schedules (FCS) in support of all Operations and Exercises.
  • Lead operational support activities around maintenance, site works and Capability Enhancements works for all sites
  • Lead operational support measures during the transition and implementation of new systems and procedures.


About You

The successful candidate will have prior experience providing support within a High Frequency service delivery environment, preferably within a large, matrixed organisation and ideally possess the following: 

  • A proven collaborative leader.
  • Demonstrated application of HF communication processes including service delivery and frequency management 
  • knowledge of the global HF communications delivery chain and monitoring process
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or related discipline.


Babcock welcomes applications from candidates with all backgrounds, and experiences, however, due to the defence orientation of the role, the successful candidate must be eligible to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance, as defined by the AGSVA guidelines
