The role
As a Multi Skilled Operative (Electrical Compliance), you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. We currently have an opportunity to undertake multi skilled support for the Estates Maintenance teams at HMNB Clyde.

Day-to-day, you’ll perform a range of manual handling and general manual labour duties including fire alarm and emergency light testing as well as assisting tradesman in all maintenance and defect repairs.

• Provide support to estates teams on completion of all planned preventative maintenance.
• Provide support to enable the identification and rectification of all system, manufacture, defects, and alterations.
• Ensure work is carried out in line with current processes and make suggestions on improving systems and processes.
• Work within all Health & Safety legislation, safe systems of work and control of work processes.

This position involves manual work. This could include lifting, bending, using tools, or standing for extended periods of time.

This role is full time, 36 hours per week and is based at our Faslane site. The starting salary for this role is £27,811 however the successful candidate will be provided full training and funding PAT Testing City and Guilds 2377 qualification during the probation period. Once gained the salary for this position will rise to £32,294.

Essential experience of the Multi Skilled Operative (Electrical Compliance) 

• Valid UK Driving Licence.
• Exposure to an electrical environment would be preferrable.

• Competent teamworking, communication, time management, prioritisation, organisational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills are required.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
