The Workshop/Events Health & Safety Co-ordinator is based within our Clyde business area.
 
As the Ministry of Defence’s commercial partner at HMNB Clyde, Babcock provides specialist engineering support services, including the management of infrastructure and nuclear facilities. We also deliver operational maintenance, upgrades and repairs to support Royal Navy vessels, including the Vanguard and Astute-Class nuclear submarines.  
 
The role
 
The difference our new Workshop/Events Health & Safety Co-ordinator will make
As a Workshop/Events Health & Safety Co-ordinator, you will have a role that is out of the ordinary. This is an exciting opportunity to secure a role where you will develop new skills and expand your knowledge and experience. Full support will be provided to gain NEBOSH general certificate.  
 
Day to day, you’ll co-ordinate and support the delivery of the Incident and Safety culture programme at HMNB Clyde. This will require engagement with a variety of stakeholders on site to carry out the following:

  • Organisation and facilitation of Health and Safety Events
  • Facilitate induction and training workshops. Ensuring they are planned and run smoothly.
  • Create and deliver key safety update communication bulletins

Essential experience
•    Excellent administration and planning skills
•    Good communication and organisational skills
•    MS Office skills
•    Must be able to achieve SC clearance
