The role
As a Delivery Coordinator, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and optimise Fleet Engineering operations, ensuring efficient resource allocation and seamless project delivery.

 

Day-to-day, you’ll work with the Delivery and Programme teams to level the Fleet Engineering workload and develop the demand profile for allocated project to ensure the most efficient use of resource. Additionally, you will: 

 

  • Review resource loading across individual projects, identifying any gaps in resource and developing appropriate solutions to overcome these.
  • Appointment of industrial, non-industrial and RN employees to projects based on analysis of their skills and experience. (AC12)
  • Management of absence, performance, leave and training records of industrial and non-industrial employees for which they are responsible. (AC10)
  • Responsible for the management of the workshop to deliver the output required for delivery of a project to safety, quality and cost.
  • Ensure any equipment and tooling for which they are responsible is maintained, recorded and available to Delivery Teams when required. (AC28)

 

This role is full time, 36 hours per week Monday to Thursday and is based on site at HMNB Clyde Faslane. 

 

Essential experience of the Delivery Coordinator 

  • Awareness of nuclear engineering, mechanical and electrical systems and equipment and the support functions such as scaffolding and slinging.
  • Knowledge of Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work and COSHH Assessments for any workshop-based activities.
  • Strong knowledge of resource management, people management, including performance and resource management. 
  • Supervisory experience desirable 
  • Experience working in fast paced mechanical machinery environment 


Qualifications for the Delivery Coordinator

  • HNC or SVQ Level 3 in engineering discipline or equivalent
  • IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent – Desirable
