The role

As a Change Manager, you’ll shape, govern, and accelerate project change across programmes that matter for national defence. You’ll sit within the Project Management Office, leading a small team of senior change specialists and change specialists, and partnering daily with project managers, engineers, and the customer. It’s a role where your leadership will make complex work safer, smarter, and faster—while growing your capability in a mission‑critical environment

 

 

Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:

  • Lead and coach a multi‑disciplinary change team to manage a high volume of project change across Clyde programmes.
  • Own change control governance—from initiation to impact assessment, approval, and implementation—ensuring scope, schedule, and cost are protected.
  • Partner with project managers, engineers, and customer stakeholders to align baselines and keep decisions timely and transparent.
  • Maintain and improve dashboards and data to track trends, risks, and performance; report actionable insights to senior leaders.
  • Continuously improve methods, standards, and ways of working across the PMO to embed best practice and measurable outcomes.

 

 

 

You’ll be working full-time, Monday–Thursday, 36 hours per week. This is a hybrid role with a mixture of working from home and working on site at our Faslane site.

 

 

 

Essential experience of the Change Manager:

  • Proven experience leading and managing large teams in a complex, fast‑paced project environment.
  • Demonstrable track record managing high volumes of change with robust governance and control.
  • Expertise in change management or project change control, including impact analysis and approvals.
  • Advanced capability managing data and dashboards to support decision‑making and performance reporting.
  • Strong stakeholder management across joint project teams and customer interfaces.

 

 

 

Qualifications for the Infrastructure Change Manager:

  • APM Project Fundamentals Qualification.
  • APM Project Planning & Controls – Practitioner.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance for this role.
