The role
As a Change Delivery Manager you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Your role will include leading, managing and supporting the Change Delivery Team to deliver all aspects of Additions & Alterations (A&A), Class Modifications and Minor Trials whilst adhering to health, safety and quality standards within agreed timescales and budgets. Providing an interface between Babcock, the customer, Commercial, Financial and Fleet Operations teams.

You’ll also support the implementation of a site wide Periodic Safety Review (PSR) programme and as part of that support provide independent technical assessment of the nuclear facilities at HMNB Clyde, when requested to co-ordinate PSR resources.

 

Day-to-day, you will: 

  • Lead and develop a team of Change Delivery Senior Engineers, Change Delivery Senior Design Reviewer and Change Delivery Project Engineers to achieve their individual projects and overall business objectives. 
  • Liaise with MOD and Babcock Commercial, Senior Estimator, Estimators and Material Planners to establish future work requirements and ensure all estimates are submitted accurately and within the defined timescales.
  • Manage the governance of contractual processes between the MOD and customers and ensure all required control measures are in place and relevant whilst meeting KPI’s.
  • Provide regular updates on Change Delivery Package performance to HOD’s, directors and MOD sponsors as required.
  • Create and maintain an environment of continuous quality, process improvement and team member participation within the change delivery team, with a focus on developing and employing standardised systems and processes throughout and across projects
  • Identify future opportunities in terms of “make vs buy” and resource and training required to fully deliver all aspects of Change Delivery Packages.  

 

This role is full time, 37 hours per week Monday to Friday and provides flexible working arrangements and is in Faslane.

 

Essential experience of the Change Delivery Manager:

  • Project Management experience
  • Commercial and Budgetary experience
  • Leading teams in high-risk safety critical environments
  • Design and Installation of complex systems/large scale modification of engineering assets.


Qualifications for the Change Delivery Manager:
Degree in Engineering or related discipline however an HNC in relevant Engineering Discipline or Equivalent may be considered depending on experience
