About the role

Here at Babcock International we’re looking to recruit a Training Delivery Instructor (Senior Defence Trainer) to deliver high quality education and training support in line with contractual requirements. Promote a culture of training improvement to increase the quality of training delivered to Defence personnel by role modelling modern learning techniques and methods.

You main tasks will include delivering a franchised Defence College of Training Support teacher training and assessment programme incorporating the QCF Level 3 Award in Education and Training, Care of Trainees (safeguarding and prevent) and the Defence Training Supervisor course (trainer assessment and development).Delivering an education and training Continuing Professional Development programme to defence trainers (both military and civilian) Delivering a Continuous Professional Development programme for Babcock Marine Training employees. Supporting the delivery of a Coaching and Mentoring service including the undertaking of coaching and mentoring support to facilitate staff and trainee development. Conducting course administration in support of business outputs as directed by line management

What do I need to do the role?

You’ll need to hold a QCF Level 4 Certificate Teaching Qualification.

Would also like you to have experience in all or some of these areas:

  • Evidence of a self sustained record of own Continual Professsional Development including a documented self reflective diary of application in the learning environment.
  • QCF Level 5 Diploma Teaching Qualification (desirable)
  • QCF Level 3 Coaching and/or Mentoring (desirable)

What else do I need to know?

  • You should hold or have the ability to obtain SC Clearance
