About the Role

 

Here at Babcock International, we operate a significant outsourced contract for the provision of education and training services to the Royal Navy. The training services comprise of naval technical and tactical training and education, delivered by Babcock Trainers as well as training support. 

 

As an Apprenticeship Quality Assurer within our Marine Training business, you will be supporting us as we deliver world-class training both UK and internationally. With over 800,000 training days delivered so far, we equip people to operate and support the most complex marine platforms, logistics and equipment - using our collaborative, customer centric approach.

 

You will provide subject matter expertise (SME) and quality assurance practices of Unified Communications Technician & Data Technician Apprenticeship Standards, for learners progressing on Apprenticeship Programmes for the Naval Service. You will deliver high quality assurance support services for Level 3 and Level 4 Standards, in line with national requirements and regulations. In addition, maintain quality records for Learner Progress Reviews and apprenticeship progression journey.

 

Main Responsibilities:

 

  • To provide Apprenticeship Programme delivery and support services for learners progressing their Apprenticeship programmes, ensuring the MWS output measurements are met
  • Under the Supervisors authorisation, work closely with the RN and National Authorities/Agencies to ensure a consistent and compliant quality assured Apprenticeship and occupational awards delivery output
  • Maintain Apprenticeship/Award documentation to meet RN and external Authority/Agency quality control and contract requirements
  • Monitor, identify and produce appropriate training documentation to uphold the centres quality assurance standards
  • As directed by the Manager/Supervisor, conduct Apprenticeship/Award Organisations quality control measures to ensure service outputs (this may include travel and overnight stay)

What do I need to do the role?

 

  • Previous Warfare Military experience in an Ops room environment – essential
  • Qualified to Level 3 (L4 desirable) or equivalent in: Data / IS / Communications competency or have 5 years proven experience of managing/using Data / IS / Communication systems within the armed services – essential
  • Assessor Award Qualification or equivalent – can be gained in post
  • Internal Quality Assurance award or equivalent – can be gained in post
  • Ability to obtain a DBS/CRB clearance


What else do I need to know?

 

You will work 37 hours per week Monday to Friday and will must the ability to obtain full Security Clearance.
