About you   

You are a highly skilled Project Manager with a proven ability to oversee complex projects and manage all aspects of project transitions. Your strong understanding of key project management areas such as scope, schedule, finance, and risks will allow you to effectively handle the day-to-day management of aviation projects in the transition-in/delivery phase.  You are adept to applying project management principals and best practices to ensure timely delivery of projects while meeting cost and quality expectations. Your experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) principals and budget management ensures that you can effectively track, control, and manage project resources. You enjoy working in collaborative, team-based environments with multiple stakeholders, and thrive in busy programs. Ideally, you have a strong interest in aviation and a passion for continuous improvement.

 

About the role   

In this role, you will be responsible for the management of aviation projects, ensuring they are delivered within scope, on schedule, and to budget. You will be accountable for overseeing all key aspects of the project, including managing project constraints, identifying potential risks, and capitalising on opportunities. Your responsibilities will include applying project management competencies, maintaining open communication with stakeholders, and ensuring the project adheres to cost and quality standards. Additionally, you will be expected to implement and manage control mechanisms, track any deviations from the plan, and apply Earned Value Management Systems principals to maintain project budgets effectively.

      

To be successful in this position you will bring:

  • AIPM Certification (highly desirable)
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Project Management (highly desirable)
  • Excellent technical communication skills - written and verbal (essential)
  • Experience in the aviation industry (military or civilian) as a project manager, aircrew, engineer, or technical specialist (desirable)
  • Experience in aviation platform delivery and modification (highly desirable)
