Rail 
The OTM (Driver/Operator) role is based within our Networks Rail business area.

We support Network Rail and other rail industry customers in providing a safe, reliable and efficient rail network across Great Britain. Whether you’re a skilled or aspiring rail professional, there are some incredible opportunities.

The role
The difference our new OTM (Driver/Operator) will make
As a OTM (Driver/Operator), you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be required to operate and drive on track machines within the required rules.

Day to day, you will service the machines, clean and fuel them. You will also carry out any minor repairs that are required and there will be some paperwork involved where you will be required to sign off logbooks and complete phires forms.

Essential experience:

•    Train Driving licence is essential and PTS and DP would be useful.
•    Considerable experience as a train driver
•    Good knowledge of OTM operation is advantageous
•    Sound knowledge of track mechanised maintenance is advantageous
•    Good knowledge of Permanent Way Rules and Regulations, procedures and track safety rules is advantageous
•    Knowledge of Drivers Rules and Regulations is essential
•    Knowledge of required machine outputs in relation to track quality is advantageous
•    In depth knowledge of Permanent Way component parts is advantageous
