The role

As a Director of our Individual Defence Training Contracts, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary where you will have full P&L oversight for a number of existing contracts ensuring that we are meeting our safety, financial, operational and customer responsibilities.

 

Day-to-day, you’ll drive a co-ordinated approach across the contracts to ensure we are delivering benefit to our customers, driving efficiency, and creating a cohesive approach to our delivery of training.

 

  • P&L ownership for the Individual Defence Training portfolio ensuring that targets for cash & profit are met. Focussed on ensuring greater accuracy of forecasting.
  • Own the customer relationship at a senior level and ensure regular engagement and visibility at key meetings to reinforce the strategic training partner approach.
  • Accountable for the design and communication of the strategy for growth.
  • Actively identify and drive opportunities for in account growth with existing customers.
  • Responsible for the oversight of the safety improvement plans across the portfolio and ensuring that we have safety at the heart of our approach.


This role is full time and requires regular travel to Chatham, Lyneham, Minley, Bovington and a number of smaller sites on a weekly / monthly basis alongside home working arrangements.

 

Essential experience of the Director – Defence Training Contracts

  • Proven experience of engaging with a range of Defence customers at a senior level.
  • Extensive experience of delivering and transforming military training.
  • Experience of strategy generation and execution.
  • Team leadership experience
  • Established leader with experience of delivering a P&L or ability to demonstrate an aptitude to think commercially.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
