Senior Data Analyst

About the role:

As the Senior Data Analyst within the Business Excellence team, you will work with the Project Managers to establish and implement a work programme for the Data Analysts to identify, audit and clean data from various business functions. You will also be tasked with understanding and leading the integration, analysis, and visualisation of this data via both bespoke and standard reporting applications. This will be conducted through close communication with overseas development teams, in order to ensure our project requirements are understood, while also understanding the extent to which local requirements may need to be customised or built.

Key experience to be successful in this role will include:

  • Solid knowledge in data environments i.e. taxonomies, master data fields, primary keys, table structures and relationships. 
  • Strong master in data warehouse design and development skills with experience of ETL tools
  • Understanding of data security issues
  • A good command of statistical programming languages – R, Python, MATLAB.
  • Visualisation / reporting eg Power BI

If you also have knowledge or experience of an Asset Management data environment (ISO 55001) would be keen to speak with you.

 

About You:

Being customer focused and cultivating a culture of mutual respect, sees you collaborate with the business and translate concepts and ideas into practical solutions. You hold a Science or Engineering Degree – Majoring in Data Analytics and/or Information Systems or similar to have sound analytical and report writing skills along with a good understanding of data security issues.
