The role
As a Senior Supply Support Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will join a national team of engineers and designers within the Nuclear Sector of Babcock. We are a leading design and through life support consultancy providing naval architecture, marine system engineering, electrical engineering, design modelling, supportability and project support services to the marine and defence markets.

Day-to-day, you’ll lead a team of Supply Support Engineers whilst applying engineering domain knowledge competently while developing domain knowledge, experience and leadership skills. Your key responsibilities will include: 

• Providing technical solutions in the delivery of products and services
• Development of support products for validation and verification during the build, test and commissioning phase 
• Taking complex engineering problems and resolve them in to an easy to understand output
• Determine solutions to problems and identifying areas for future improvement

This role is full time, 35 hours provides hybrid working arrangements with flexible start and finish times

Essential experience of the Senior Supply Support Engineer

• Demonstrable supportability engineering experience at a leadership level
• The ability to take complex engineering problems and resolve them into easy to understand outputs for use by a wide range of stakeholders
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision, however with the confidence to seek guidance from others for more unusual or complex problems and situations
• you’ll be an excellent communicator and able to articulate complex arguments for a wide range of stakeholders to understand. 
• You’ll need to be able demonstrate the motivation to drive issues to completion and to continue your professional development. 

Qualifications for the Senior Supply Support Engineer

• HND/HNC or Degree level qualification in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (or related field)

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
