The role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will lead a team of 3 Quantity Surveyors within our submarine deep maintenance project.

Day-to-day, you’ll lead the QS team and look to enhance project performance and stability through the collection, analysis, investigation and reporting of meaningful project information to allow informed decision-making at a program, project and zonal level.

• Co-ordinating data analysis, impact assessments and forecasts from supporting functions to enable recommendations.
• Supporting the commercial function with tender compilations, negotiations, and reviews. 
• Co-ordinating in-depth investigations. 
• Co-ordinating the support to the Supply Chain Team with regards to Subcontractor performance, assessment of quotations etc, and supporting on any subsequent actions to resolve issues.
• Lead the preparation of information required for any claims to the customer and/or subcontractors/suppliers.

This role is full time 35 hours per week and is based at is based on site at Devonport, with up to a day working from home per week.

Essential experience of the Senior Quantity Surveyor 

• Experienced Quantity Surveyor
• Experience working in a regulated environment
• Leadership experience 
• Knowledge of change management 

Qualifications for the Senior Quantity Surveyor 

• HNC / HND in engineering is desirable 
• RICS Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) qualification is desirable
