The role
As a Senior Human Factors Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Sharing your expertise with the Naval Nuclear Devonport Human Factors team and gaining exposure to the full portfolio on site. 

Day-to-day, you’ll support engineers and other scientific disciplines operating within the high hazard nuclear regulated industry in:

• The design development of new or modifications to existing site systems, processes and facilities
• Provide human factors input into the nuclear safety assessment process
• Support the successful implementation and validation of the human performance elements of the safety case within the operational business setting
• Prepare scopes of work, cost estimates and programme schedules for human factors assessment work

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 1 day in the office/onsite and 4 days working from home.

Essential experience of the Senior Human Factors Engineer

• Knowledge of Human Reliability Assessment
• Solid understanding of task analysis techniques
• Understanding of verification and validation techniques
• Supporting design development of engineering solutions
• Safety Case experience (desirable)

Qualifications for the Senior Human Factors Engineer

• Chartership or working towards Chartership

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
