The role
As a Senior Estimator, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. With the growth in our project portfolio and the business transformation taking place, we are continually looking to improve our estimating capability and as a Senior Estimator you will be a key part of the estimating function. 

 

The role will offer exposure to different areas of the business, each with its own challenges and all requiring unique and diverse skills as well as experience in both estimating, project controls and management.

 

Day-to-day, you’ll support the management in the ongoing delivery of robust cost estimates to the customer while providing guidance, leadership and support to junior members of the team.  

 

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working.

 

Essential experience of the Senior Estimator

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Primarily MS Excel and MS Teams).
  • Demonstrated experience in task prioritisation and delegation.
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership
  • Experience of cost estimating within an engineering environment or quantity surveying experience or submarine experience

 

Qualifications for the Senior Estimator

  • Educated to HNC level or above in STEM subject or equivalent.

 

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
