The role

As a Project Planner, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary, working within the Planning team that will be planning and executing Vanguard and Astute class submarines projects. 

 

Day-to-day, you’ll assist the team in the planning activities within the Project Controls team for a variety of projects on site.  

  • Assist the Senior Planners in the maintenance and update of the project schedule in Primavera P6.
  • Help to compile and produce project controls and metric reports for senior management and directors.
  • Attend project meetings on behalf of the Senior Planners when cover is required.
  • Produce weekly high-level visuals of key systems for review.

 

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard 

 

Essential experience of the Project Planner

  • Demonstrable sound aptitude, knowledge and use of the Microsoft Office Packages. Including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Good communication and organisational skills, Including use of Microsoft Teams/Skype.
  • Ability to work as part of a team or individually.
  • Being adaptable and flexible in a fast moving and challenging environment.
  • Ability to collate and present information at appropriate levels.
