The role

As a Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for delivering defined project work packages within our Major Infrastructure Projects business area. Working in a highly regulated environment, you’ll balance schedule, cost, quality and risk to ensure successful outcomes that meet customer and business expectations.

 

Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams and trusted partners, managing delivery from initiation through to completion. Along the way, you’ll strengthen your leadership capability, deepen your project controls expertise and build experience on nationally significant programmes, accelerating your career in defence and engineering.

 

  • Delivering project management activities including schedule, cost, risk and reporting
  • Managing work packages delivered by internal teams and external suppliers
  • Controlling project budgets, forecasts and financial performance
  • Engaging stakeholders to agree scope, requirements and delivery plans
  • Applying project controls and governance using agreed business systems and frameworks

 

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with a minimum of 3 days a week in the office/onsite.

 

Essential experience of the Project Manager

  • Demonstrable experience delivering projects or work packages within complex environments
  • Proven ability to manage schedule, cost, risk and resource effectively
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary project teams and third‑party suppliers
  • Ability to support or lead elements of larger, complex projects
  • Experience working in regulated or safety‑critical sectors is advantageous

 

Qualifications for the Project Manager

  • A Level 4 qualification in engineering, project management, construction or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Association for Project Management qualification - Desirable
  • Working toward or holding Registered Project Professional status would be advantageous

The successful candidate must be a sole UK National who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
