The role

As a Project Controller Learning From Experience, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. An Opportunity to lead, develop and mentor a growing team in the ongoing support/delivery of Learning From Experience (LFE) across multiple projects in the Submarine Disposal Programme.

Day-to-day, you’ll Lead and Manage a team of LFE Engineers in driving and delivering the LFE strategy across the Submarines Disposals programme.  

• Leading and investigating LFE cases raised by the Submarine Support community for the Submarine Disposal Programme.
• Critique and produce detailed LFE reports making sure the learning points and recommendations have been identified, reviewed and agreed.
• Establish and maintain strong communication links internally across Babcock and externally. 
• Maintaining standards and assuring compliance to organisational policy and process in LFE management.
• To provide an effective LFE function that supports the Joint Project Teams throughout the Project Lifecycle.

This role is full time. 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 3 days in the office/onsite and 2 days working from home.

Essential experience of the Project Controller Learning From Experience
Understanding of Project Controls and Project Management Methodology.
Experience of managing, supervising, and developing teams.
Proven experience in communicating with both internal and external stakeholders. 
A proactive, inquisitive, and continual improvement mindset.
Evidence of working in LFE quality improvement or a similar area.

Qualifications for the Project Controller Learning From Experience

• Qualified to a degree level or be able to demonstrate career-based knowledge and experience relevant to the role.
• Membership of a relatable professional body e.g. APM – Desirable.
