The role
As a Production Zone Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be supporting Submarines deep maintenance periods in accordance with MOD requirements, whilst planning and executing the production programme. 

 

Day-to-day, you will be managing the team as well as leading, coaching and developing the teams in operational excellence whilst building future success and sustainability.

  • Leading, coaching and developing the teams in operational excellence building future success and sustainability.
  • Managing the health, safety and environmental requirements within their area of responsibility.
  • Managing production resources in order to meet the time/cost/quality demands of the project utilising the project delivery framework.
  • Ensuring that all allocated resources are suitable qualified and experienced for the tasks undertaken.
  • Identifying and arranging training requirements for Production personnel within area of responsibility

 

This role is full time working 35 hours per week and is based on site at the Devonport site. 

 

Essential experience of the Production Zone Manager:

  • An excellent understanding of Health and Safety processes
  • Experience in management of personnel/resources.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An excellent understanding of Production processes and skills requirements.
  • Extensive experience of planning/executing major production projects.

 

Qualifications for the Production Zone Manager:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an engineering discipline.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC)/BPSS security clearance for this role.
