The role

As a Planning Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. This role offers strong career progression within a supportive team, providing a clear path for growth. Day-to-day, you’ll operate within the non-Nuclear side of the business, collaborating with Engineers and the Design Authority to develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring alignment with operational goals and timelines.

 

  • Expand detail within new and existing post-initiation project schedules.
  • Maintain schedules and track local project spending for accurate cost collection.
  • Monitor progress, provide reports, and analyse variances.
  • Oversee project baselines for consistency and alignment.
  • Manage change processes to ensure project adaptability.

 

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.

 

Essential experience of the Planning Engineer

  • Strong knowledge of Primavera P6 or other Project Management systems, with proficiency in Windows-based applications.
  • Effective communication skills across all levels of management.
  • Solid understanding of project controls and management principles.
  • Experience in facilities management within a regulated environment is advantageous.

 

Qualifications for the Planning Engineer

  • BTEC in an engineering discipline or relevant experience.

 

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPPI) security clearance for this role.
