The role
As a Learning From Experience Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Leading and Developing a Learning From Experience (LFE) team in the operational activities on all LFE Practices and processes across various programmes.  

 

Day-to-day, you’ll manage the capture and implementation of LFE on nuclear submarine maintenance projects.  

 

  • Lead a team of LFE Senior Project Engineers and LEF Project Engineers in the capture and implementation of any LFE opportunities.
  • To grow and develop the team to ensure they are Suitably Qualified and Experienced Personnel (SQEP) through professional training providers and ‘on the job’ experienced based training.  
  • To work collaboratively with our internal and external customers, chair or facilitate workshops and undertake review meetings.
  • Produce high quality LFE reports, manage comprehensive LFE registers, and identify recommendations and opportunities for improving our certainty of delivery.
  • Produce progress reports on LFE management activities.

 

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 3 days in the office/onsite and 2 days working from home.

 

Essential experience of the Learning From Experience Manager

  • Previous experience of managing teams
  • Experience of Knowledge Management or Information Knowledge Management
  • Experience of event investigations (Fire service, police, Military) - Desirable 
  • Experience within a quality or audit background would be advantageous
  • Previous experience within risk management would be beneficial 

 

Qualifications for the Learning From Experience Manager

  • HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline
  • Association of Project Management Foundation (APMF)
  • Risk management, audit or quality qualifications - Desirable

 

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPPI) security clearance for this role.
