Devonport:
The Commercial Apprenticeship is based at Devonport Royal Dockyard in Plymouth.

Comprising of 14 dry docks, four miles of waterfront and 25 tidal berths, Devonport is the base for numerous surface vessels as well as the base and refit centre for the Trafalgar-class nuclear-powered submarines. Devonport has also recently been selected as the base port for the Navy’s new Type 26 frigates and will become the maintenance centre for the future submarine programme.

Commercial Apprenticeship:
Our Commercial apprenticeship will teach you how to form and manage commercial relationships supported by appropriate forms of contracting. This is a complex activity that lies at the heart of delivering business value. It involves the coordination of multiple stakeholders, within and across organisations, reconciling legal and financial considerations with broader business capabilities and market requirements.
Possible placements:
Apprentices will spend their time onsite at Devonport where the training provider will visit you on a regular basis to assess your progress.
Qualifications you’ll gain:
On completion of your training programme and the End Point Assessment, you will gain a nationally recognised apprenticeship certificate as a Level 5 Operations/Departmental Manager.
What you’ll need:
A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade 4/C or above, including Maths and English and 3 A-Levels grades A-C.
Security clearance: Security Check (SC)
