The role

As a Finance Business Partnering Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting some of the UK's most important defence and nuclear programmes. You will play a pivotal role within the The Nuclear Finance FP&A team that provides financial planning, analysis, reporting and governance across the Nuclear sector. The team supports effective financial control and decision-making, ensuring compliance with contractual, business and regulatory requirements

Day-to-day, you’ll

• Leading budgeting, forecasting and long-range financial planning activities across the Nuclear sector.
• Providing financial insight, challenge and decision support to senior business leaders and stakeholders.
• Managing financial reporting activities for the Corporate Services contract within Naval Nuclear.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance reporting, governance, controls and management information.
• Leading and developing a team of finance professionals while promoting high performance and collaboration.

This role is 35 hours per week, based at Devonport Royal Dockyard, Plymouth. Hybrid working patterns are available, with an expectation of approximately 2 to 3 days on site each week.

Essential experience of the Finance Business Partnering Manager

• Strong experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, business partnering and performance management within a complex organisation.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders through commercial insight and strategic financial advice.
• Experience leading annual planning cycles, rolling forecasts, scenario modelling and performance reviews.
• Strong understanding of financial governance, controls and reporting, with experience improving finance processes and systems.
• Proven people leadership, stakeholder management and change management experience.

Qualifications for the Finance Business Partnering Manager

Professionally qualified accountant, such as:

• Association of Chartered Certified Accountants
• Associate Chartered Accountant
• Chartered Institute of Management Accountants
• Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales
• Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland
• Or an equivalent recognised professional accounting qualification.

The successful candidate must be a Sole UK National and be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
