The Role
As a Finance Business Partner, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Managing the financial services to the FMSP Transformation teams, providing a range of services including cost and benefit analysis, accounting, cost management, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
Day-to-day, you’ll be partnering with the lot transformation team to deliver transformation and business improvement strategies across the business, as well as working within the FMSP transformational team in the reporting of financial benefits to internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in the building of business cases to support investment expenditure.
- Undertake financial assessments of current and future opportunities such that a full and complete understanding of cost, benefit, risk and opportunity is understood and presented to management.
- Consolidate all financial information from across the business and produce reports for the aggregation of financials for the FMSP reporting requirements.
- Work with the business and finance teams to identify opportunities for potential cost saving or operational improvement.
- Establish and maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders for the provision of timely information with a particular focus on cost control and benefit delivery.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and requires regular travel to Plymouth or Bristol, on a monthly basis alongside home working arrangements.
Essential Experience of the Finance Business Partner:
- Experience of combining financial and commercial capabilities to maximise value and manage risk across the business.
- Financial reporting and technical accounting experience.
- Experience of commercial and procurement issues and operational awareness in relation to costs, risks and margins, and opportunities.
- Knowledge of financial accounting, reporting and legal standards.
- Experience of working in a finance business partnering role.
Qualifications for the Finance Business Partner:
- You must hold a recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent / similar.
