The role
As a First Line Manager - Constructive, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Lead a team of industrial experts in a dynamic factory environment, ensuring precision and efficiency to drive high-impact projects to success! 

Day-to-day, you’ll lead a team of industrial workers, ensuring safety, compliance, and team development while driving successful project delivery in a dynamic factory environment.  

• Supervise a team of industrial workers, including fabricators and welders.
• Champion health and safety, overseeing job briefs and work preparations.
• Promote and enforce control of work processes to ensure efficiency.
• Maintain a safe workplace, adhering to health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Authorise, restrict, or suspend production activities when safety is compromised.

This role is full time 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.

Essential experience of the First Line Manager - Constructive

• Strong understanding of Health and Safety processes related to production activities.
• Experience in team supervision or willingness to develop supervisory skills.
• Expertise in repair, replacement, overhaul, and maintenance processes.
• Solid knowledge of fabrication and welding techniques.

Qualifications for the First Line Manager - Constructive

• ONC, NVQ Level 3
• ILM Level 3
• IOSH

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
