The role
As an Environmental and Sustainability Practitioner, you’ll play a key role in shaping the sustainability agenda, ensuring impactful improvements are implemented across the wider Devonport Site.

Day-to-day, you’ll actively reduce environmental risk, oversee permitting and licensing for associated facilities, and ensure compliance through relevant assurance processes.  

• Collaborate to minimize environmental risk, oversee permits and licenses, and ensure platform compliance.
• Support the development of governance frameworks to enhance sustainability and environmental protection across Devonport.

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.

Essential experience of the Environmental and Sustainability Practitioner

• Previous experience in a multi-process industrial or marine environment.

Qualifications for the Environmental and Sustainability Practitioner 

• Level 3 qualification in environmental/sustainability management or a related field.
• Level 6 qualification in Environmental/Sustainability management (or associated subject)
• Level 3 qualification in Health and Safety Management
• Internal Auditor (ISO 14001)
• Investigator training practitioner Membership of the Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment - Desirable.

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPPI) security clearance for this role.
