The role

As a Coating Surveyor, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the maintenance, preservation and operational readiness of Royal Navy submarines, warships and key marine infrastructure. Working within the Surveying Section of the Marine Platform Support Group, part of our Technical Design Division, you'll provide specialist coating and paint inspection expertise that helps extend asset life, maintain safety standards and protect some of the UK's most important defence capabilities.

  • Assessing the condition of coatings and developing specifications to support the longevity of Ministry of Defence assets and infrastructure.
  • Monitoring quality assurance and quality control activities to ensure coating applications meet customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Supporting technical queries from customers, subcontractors and project teams relating to coating specifications, surface preparation and application methods.
