The role
As a Business Improvement Specialist, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. The role will support the identification, development, implementation and sustainment of key improvement projects driven by the Major Infrastructure Projects (MIP) Global People Survey results. 

 

Day-to-day, you’ll support the delivery of change projects, collaborating closely with the MIP line managers and workforce, including colleagues in the wider dockyard.

 

  • Interface with the wider business to assist with strategic and local alignment of vision.
  • Support the wider Integration team and function to ensure consistency of approach and reporting of activities across the Nuclear Sector and the wider business.
  • Support the ongoing development of the tools and processes required to deliver changes, including drafting, commenting, and issuing of supporting documents and artefacts.
  • Assist the delivery of existing change projects through the identification of dependencies and risks, assisting with identifying blockers and collaborating on successful outcomes.

 

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.

 

Essential experience of the Business Improvement Specialist

  • Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop and deliver communications campaigns for disparate audiences
  • A basic understanding of Project and Programme Management Principles 
  • Basic understanding of Change Management
  • Be proactive, and have a questioning mindset
  •  

Qualifications for the Business Improvement Specialist

  • Qualified to either PRINCE2 Practitioner or APM PMQ, or equivalent experience - Desirable

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
