The role
As a Warehouse Lead, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. As a Warehouse Lead you will perform a wide range of warehousing activity with no 2 days the same, delivering direct support to Workshop Operations ensuring efficient repair of military vehicles.

 

Day-to-day, you’ll ensure teams have the people, tools and processes they need to safely deliver outputs within warehousing function. They ensure processes are followed and updated providing accurate information for decision making and giving visibility for the wider business to support.

 

  • Providing support to manage employee lifecycle from recruitment through to exit processes
  • Ensuring work areas remain safety compliant and housekeeping expectations achieved 
  • Allocating resource efficiently to meet delivery, performance and output functional targets
  • Ensure staff have and comply with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements at all times
  • Delivering business and functional communications including team briefings

 

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Catterick.

 

Essential experience of the Warehouse Lead

  • Competent PC user (MS Office, MS Outlook, SharePoint, MRP system)
  • Ability to manage people, individuals, and small teams
  • Communicate effective which includes potential to challenge and have awkward conversations
  • Ability to analyse information and make rational decisions to complete tasks effectively

 

Qualifications for the Warehouse Lead

  • Educated to Level 2 in National Qualification Framework (NQF) as a minimum (Intermediate apprenticeship, Level 2 NVQ, GCSE – Grade A* - C, O Level A – C, CSE Grade1) or equivalent workplace experience
  • Completed (or working towards) British Safety Council
  • Completed (or working towards) lean management


Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
