The role
As a Driver, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. This is an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with supporting site teams to deliver shared production outputs in vehicles and/or assets for training fleet bids.

 

Day-to-day, you’ll transport and maintain vehicles and/or assets using the correct procedures, tooling/machinery and materials while adhering to the prescribed safety standards to support high quality outputs in line with the delivery plan(s). This role also includes preparation of vehicles supporting Hand over / Take over (HOTO) activities with the customer.

 

  • Use the correct tooling or machinery for each task
  • Complete transport tasks within the allocated time and standard hours
  • To complete tasks to the appropriate quality and/or output standard level

 

Please note that the successful candidate will be required to pass a targeted medical questionnaire and/or medical examination as a condition of employment for this role.

 

Please note that this position involves manual work. This could include lifting, bending, using tools or standing for extended periods of time.

 

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Catterick.

 

Essential experience of the Driver:

  • Have an understanding of driver’s hours regulations
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and the Road Traffic Act

 

Qualifications for the Driver:

  • Educated to Level 2 in National Qualification Framework (NQF) as a minimum (GCSE grade C or above, level 1 National Vocational qualification (NVQ), Level 1 diploma)
  • Full UK Driving Licence essential
  • HGV Category ‘C’ Driving Licence

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
