The role
As a Requirements Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Providing a professional Facilities & Operational Management service for the site infrastructure, Buildings, Plant & Equipment at Rosyth, leading the delivery of flexible, cost effective, efficient and safe hard and soft FM services, ensuring standards are appropriate to meet business needs and operationally resilient and robust.


Day-to-day, you’ll manage the engineering change process from a requirements and acceptance perspective, as well as:

  • Updating and maintaining the change process ensuring clear configuration control and baselines for the design and requirements. 
  • Run the engineering change boards for the project ensuring it follows the process. 
  • Manage internal and external stakeholder engagement for the elicitation and acceptance of user, system and sub-system requirements.
  • Scope estimation (time, cost and resources) for customer and internally generated engineering changes.
  • Work with the system solution architects to support decomposition of requirements into sub systems and producing the relevant specifications for the engineering team.


This role is full time and will be based at one of the following sites: Hawthorn, Corsham, Oakhanger or Bristol

 

Essential experience of the Requirements Engineer:

  • Extensive and demonstrable systems engineering experience with specialism in Engineering Change AND Requirements Definition, Verification, Validation and Transition to Service.
  • Knowledge of UK MoD practices and ways of working
  • Practitioner in Determining and Managing Stakeholder Change. 
  • Conversant with accreditation standards for bringing into service telecommunications systems including bespoke and COTS software applications.
  • Experience in delivery in a System of System Architecture environment.


Qualifications for the Requirements Engineer:

  • Degree or equivalent in Telecommunications or Electronic Engineering. HNC/HND with equivalent, relevant experience is valued and welcomed.
