The Role

As a Land Terminals Maintenance Engineer, you will have the unique opportunity to work on varied and interesting projects with continuous learning and development.

 

The Land Terminals Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of remote satellite ground terminals, ensuring agreed levels of availability and operational readiness. This role demands a multi-disciplinary skill set across electrical, mechanical, Radio Frequency, and software systems, with a strong emphasis on safety, reliability, and customer service.

 

  • Maintenance and Inspection of Small Remote Satellite land terminals.
  • Conduct Electrical Safety Inspections and Testing I.A.W Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.
  • Test and repair RF equipment and systems and perform software and baseband system testing and repairs.
  • Undertake general equipment repairs across the site.
  • Respond promptly to service calls and resolve issues within agreed SLAs to deliver on-site technical support and troubleshooting for customer-reported issues.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through professional service delivery, whilst acting as a technical ambassador for the organisation during site visits and support calls.

 

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Corsham, Wiltshire.

 

Essential Experience of the Land Terminals Maintenance Engineer

 

  • Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and software domains.
  • Proficient with diagnostic tools and test equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in computer software used for diagnostics and reporting.

 

Qualifications for the Land Terminals Maintenance Engineer

 

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, BTEC Level 3 Certificate in Engineering (Electrical & Electronic pathway), or equivalent work experience.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
