As an Engineering Support Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in supporting our growing Space Engineering team across the full Engineering Lifecycle. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of work that contributes directly to national security, technology advancement and the future of defence, aerospace and engineering.
You’ll help to ensure we deliver our contractual engineering obligations by coordinating activities, tracking progress, and supporting the development of key assurance and configuration management processes. Your work will enable better decision‑making, help drive continuous improvement and give you the exposure and experience to grow your career in an innovative and fast‑evolving field.
Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Change Management and Configuration Management processes, while identifying additional cost-effective activities.
- Coordinate administration activities across Engineering within the Space Business Unit
- Maintain and coordinate Engineering Change activities, while supporting change through the Engineering Lifecycle
- Hold regular meetings with the Engineering Leadership and Growth teams to provide updates on current tasking performance and to coordinate future work
- Recognise trends and identifying single points of failure, recommending and implementing improvements where applicable
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 1 day onsite, with occasional travel to Bristol and Hampshire, and 4 days working from home.
Agile working may be available to employees in some instances, applying the principles of fairness and consistency whilst ensuring that the overriding business needs can be appropriately met. Essential experience of the Engineering Support Coordinator
- Demonstrable stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including SharePoint Management
- Demonstrable experience of process implementation and commercial awareness
- Demonstrable knowledge of Project Management or Project Controls (e.g. APM PMQ or ITIL)
- Familiarity with relevant engineering and configuration management tools would be beneficial.
