The Role
As a Crypto Custodian Supervisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be delivering and managing Cryptographic material and services, including accounting, ordering, distribution and communicating internally and externally with customers and stakeholders.
Day-to-day, you’ll be required to assist with the setting of objectives and produce reports, hold regular staff briefings to communicate core, departmental and local information.
- Ensuring all cryptographic material is authorised for issue and work with wider teams to effect timely delivery.
- Raising external paperwork for, and assisting with, internal audits and checks of holdings, maintaining accurate recording of Cryptographic material, ensuring compliance.
- Recognising breaches of Crypto and Communication Security Policy and reporting accordingly. Contribute to the development of Cyber security strategies, policies, guidance and awareness.
- Ensure all Electronic Key processes, procedures and local working instructions are updated and stored at the appropriate classification.
- Assist with the roles of Controlling Authority and Cryptonet Controller, including undertaking any mandatory training courses necessary.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Hawthorn, Wilshire.
Essential Experience of the Crypto Custodian Supervisor
- Prior experience and good working knowledge of thru-life accounting for crypto-accountable items is essential.
- Working knowledge of bespoke Cryptographic Information Technology systems and applications while ensuring compliance with Defence policy and procedures (JSP 440, 490 and 491).
- Experience working within the defence/military sector.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and Security Check (SC) and Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role.
