SHEF Advisor
Chatham, Kent
Salary £32,000-£35,000

 

Here at Babcock International we are recruiting for a SHEF Advisor, to deliver Health, Safety, Environment and Fire advice to ensure a safe working environment is promoted, delivered and sustained in respect of all Babcock (RSME) and 1 RSME Regiment activities. The SHEF Advisor will also advise and support 1 RSME Regiment Commanding Officer and his Chain of Command to ensure that a proactive and robust SHEF culture is entrenched across the RSME Medway partnership.

 

On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for the following;
• Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on managing Health, Safety and Environmental risks
• Ensure compliance with current legislation, MoD Orders, JSP’s and other requirements
• Coordinate training delivery and deliver training when required as per contract requirements
• Support cultural change and engagement with Employees and Managers
• Identify opportunities for improvements and share best practice

What do I need to do the role?

 

• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
• Fire Safety and Management General Certificate
• A minimum of 1 year in a HSE Advisor role preferably military, engineering or high risk industry
• Good computer skills
• Full clean driving licence

 

You will also be an engaging, proactive and confident individual with excellent communication skills and previous experience in conducting SHEF activities.
