The role
As a Stores Operative, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary.  You will provide stores support and equipment to the workshop in order to support military training.

Day-to-day, you will issue/receipt tools and equipment, manage stock levels and reorder stock when needed, deal with contractors ensuring they are met at the gatehouse and allocated to their job, raise purchase orders on the inhouse system and take deliveries from suppliers.

  • Ensure all store areas and equipment items are kept clean, tidy and in a serviceable condition and where applicable, ready for issue 
  • Utilise in-house IT systems to account for and maintain equipment.
  • Ensure all accidents are reported to management and health and safety on the day or within 24 hours
  • Source quotes and call in any equipment requiring Calibration if nominated.
  • Identify and report to the Stores Supervisor any shortfalls of any commodity that may have an effect on forecasted training and/or future requirements.

 

This role is full time working 37 hours per week and is based at Minley. 
 
Essential experience of the Stores Operative

  • IT literate – use of inhouse systems is required; however, training on these will be provided

 
Qualifications for the Stores Operative

  • FLT experience would be an advantage. 
  • UK driving licence is essential – may need to drive company van

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
