About the programme

As a Learning and Development apprentice in the Land Training sector, you’ll be at the forefront of designing, developing, and planning training activities for our Royal Engineers. This two-year programme offers a comprehensive curriculum divided into eight modules, each designed to equip you with the essential skills and knowledge required for a successful career in Learning and Development (L&D).

You’ll dive into topics such as the theory and practice of L&D, training design, audience engagement, and organisational and commercial awareness. Your practical experience will include working on gaming technology to train the UK armed forces, media development using Articulate, and planning and supporting a variety of training events. You’ll also have the opportunity to work on key projects like running training sessions.

This apprenticeship not only teaches you the technical skills you need but also helps you grow personally and professionally by helping you master things like effective teamwork, training principles, and clear communication. Meaning when you complete the programme, you’ll be ready to make a real difference in the world of training and development.
